About the investor
Sunshine Exports is a pioneering Peruvian company in the export of agricultural products founded by a family group in 1985. In 2005 and 2009, the SEAF and FTP funds were incorporated into the shareholding, respectively. The company had a consolidated management team and a long-term relationship with its mango and avocado suppliers. It is currently one of the most important Peruvian companies in the export of mango.
Transaction summary
Shareholders of Sunshine Exports were seeking to sell a controlling stake in the company. The buyers, the transnational company with British capital Wealmoore and Limones Piuranos, hired UNE to advise them in the evaluation, structuring and negotiation of the acquisition of the company. After a disputed competitive process with several national and international bidders, and negotiation between UNE and the sellers, a mutually beneficial agreement was reached and the transaction was successfully completed through the purchase of the company's 80%.
