Transaction summary
Corporación Aceros Arequipa SA (CASA), the largest steel producer in Peru, acquired 96% of the shares of COMFER, a company dedicated to the marketing and production of metallurgical products. Une Asesores Financieros and Philippi Prietocarrioza Ferrero DU & Uría led the transaction on the sellers' side, while LXG Capital and Payet, Rey, Cauvi & Pérez advised CASA.
The transaction is part of the USD 300mm expansion plan, announced by CASA in 2017, and the strategy of entering the annealed wire and nail production market for the first time.
