Algodonera Peruana is a company with 23 years of experience in the production and marketing, national and international, of cotton-based yarns, fabrics and garments. As part of its strategic plan, the group seeks to take advantage of the difficult situation in the textile sector to grow inorganically. This is how the acquisition of Textil Oceano took place, which strengthens the group by giving variety to the product portfolio.
Transaction summary
The owner of Textil Oceano, a company with 30 years in the textile market, was looking for a strategic partner to continue with the growth plan. In these lines, he asked UNE to advise him in the search and selection of said partner and in structuring the best conditions for the transaction. UNE focused both on obtaining a good economic agreement and on protecting its client against any eventuality. It is worth mentioning that the transaction was not easy, since it was carried out in a very difficult context for companies in the textile industry.
