About the investor
Altra is a private equity fund manager established in early 2005 in Colombia, whose investment focus is the Andean Region and Central America, with special emphasis on Colombia and Peru. To date, it has invested in fifteen companies and has raised more than USD 500 MM. In Peru it has 4 investments, in transportation companies (Acoinsa, Ausa and Saturno) and computer solutions (CosapiData).
Transaction summary
The owner of the company was looking to incorporate a strategic partner to accompany him in the growth of the business. In these lines they asked UNE to advise them in the search and selection of said partner and in structuring the conditions of coexistence of said company. UNE proposed the Altra investment fund as an alternative, due to its professionalism and experience in the sector. UNE focused both on obtaining a good economic agreement and on protecting its client against any eventuality, all without eroding the relationship between both parties.
